Hot Off The Press: Vince Gill’s Latest Album

Vince Gill’s new album Down To My Last Bad Habit was released Friday, to rave reviews from fans and critics. Rolling Stone said, “[it’s] …a collection of honest country songs with a glint of pop polish that ranks among the 20-time Grammy winner’s best work.” Categorized as country, the album doesn’t hold back in any limitations, blending elements from rock, blues, jazz and pop. As Gill told Rolling Stone, “I want to sing and play like it’s the last chance I’ll get,” with nothing to hold him back. The album’s debut single “Take Me Down,” featured a duet with another fan-favorite, Little Big Town, who performed under the tent in 2014. Gill was also recently inducted into the Guitar Center’s historic RockWalk, dedicated to honoring those artists who have made a significant impact and lasting contribution to the growth and evolution of music. Proving age nor genre will slow him down, Vince Gill is actively supporting his latest release with upcoming tours and engagements. Catch him under the tent this summer – he’ll be performing July 16th at the South Shore Music Circus and July 17th at the Cape Cod Melody Tent.
