How old were you when you knew you wanted to be a musician?

(A) I started playing in bars with my Dad & brother when I was 12 and I knew then this is what I wanted to do.

What is your favorite song to perform live?

1) Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain)

2) Best I Ever Had

3) Watching Airplanes

(A) Bones – It is just a fun song to play live. 

What inspired you in the creation of the album “Set You Free”?

(A) There were some changes going on at my label, so I had a lot of time to write for this album and to record it. So I just took my time and enjoyed the process. It gave me time to be creative and just feel free to be me.

Who has been some of your favorite people to collaborate with over your career?

(A) I always write with my friends, Odie Blackmon, Matt Warren, Hillary Lindsey and a few others. They know me the best and know how to get the best out of me.

The reason you love performing live is:

1) The fans

2) The music

(A)  The feeling I get when I walk out on that stage. It is just a rush like no other.

Which album are you most proud of to date?

(A) I’m proud of them all. They all represent where I was in my life at the time I recorded them.
